College of Champions!
We are in the final years of our college life. We’ve been through a lot of hardships together and faced different challenges we thought we could never get through. In almost three years, we’ve come to know each other, our abilities, hidden talents, strengths and weaknesses.
It was like a roller coaster ride. Friendships were built, some did not survive the waves of adversity and some continued strong. But honestly, we learned a lot of things from each other, whether we admit it or not. We also shared a lot of precious memories with our productions and presentations, together with the pressure and stress it brought.
Yes, our differences sometimes hindered us in getting along with each other. Misunderstanding has been one of our major problems. Truly, it’s not easy to conform to 60+ unique attitudes but the lessons you'll learn from them will always be worth it. And I still believe that we can make a great team. Different individuals with really great potentials, that is why we are self-proclaimed the "College of Champions". Not just because we are bragging about our achievements, our great list of alumni, not only because we are the "Home of Laudes" but because we believe that we can be Champions in our own different ways. We simply believe, deep in our hearts that we can.
The College of Communication has been our second home for almost three years now. And we are really proud to be part of its eleven years of excellence. We are so thankful that we were able to meet great professors and/or mentors that taught us things that cannot be found in textbooks. In a way, they shared part of their lives – their time and effort – which they can never take back and are indeed priceless. They made us see that their profession is not just an ordinary job, that it can raise champions out of an ordinary individual, something that we admire the most.
In this e-zine, we will share to you a part of us and why we proclaim to ourselves that we are the "College of Champions". We are here not just to inform you but to also inspire you in our own little way.
To God be all the glory.
